This was originally Mrs. Locantro's fruit and vegetable shop, built about
1911. Smell the mingled aromas of coffee and chocolate as you walk towards
our lovely old curved chocolate counter.
The beautiful stained glass and the mirrored panels, Summer Drinks and
Palace of Sweets, are original. How appropriate - our staff make all the
chocolates upstairs.
Sweet Decadence began further down Vincent Street in the Victoria Hotel
in 1983. It was the first coffee shop in Daylesford and the first handmade
chocolate shop in country Victoria. We are proud to be the first café
in country Victoria serving Belaroma coffee – 100% Arabica beans
roasted in Australia and packed within minutes which guarantees the freshness,
flavour and aroma.
